Old St. Andrew's Parish Church has a mission relationship with San Jose Episcopal Church in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. We are honored to send mission teams and funds to San Jose on a regular basis.

In July 2014, a team of youth and adults traveled to the Dominican Republic to aid in the painting of The Bishop Skilton Conference Center and running a Vacation Bible School for local children. Funds were raised to aid in the construction of a kitchen in the conference center. This kitchen will enable San Jose School to feed 400 children a hot lunch every day. That meal could be their only one of the day.

The Bishop Skilton Conference Center is a large, two-story building across the street from San Jose (St. Joseph's) Episcopal Church in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. The Skilton Center makes our mission relationship even more special, because Bishop Skilton served as a youth minister at Old St. Andrew's during his college days at The Citadel.

Continued support for this mission is underway, with another team planning to travel in 2015. Please continue to pray for our mission team and the priests and congregations in the Dominican Republic.
